Is it a diamond or is it just a stone?
Let's not kid ourselves, we all know life isn't daisies and rainbows. The world is an intensely challenging place full of critical ignorant haters, powerful, tormenting oppressors and a conservative society that pushes us to conform to it's monotonous insipid normalities.
Not only is it a battle against those around us but a battle against ourselves. A worried mind can be a site of self destruction. Our negative thoughts are autoimmune weapons set to pulverise our confidence, self worth, and happiness. They hatch eggs of insecurity, doubt, hopelessness and depression.
But as the sand blankets the fall of a crashing wave at shore there are hidden gems among the misty skies that tranquilise the malevolent, demoniac soldiers in our mind. With no man to hold the gun, no damage can be done.
Look to that which is around you. The earth, the trees, the birds and the bees - all carry an innocent celestial beauty. A kind dose of imagination, joy, and curious mystery. Just think of the unknown life of a tiny fly and visualize the enormous garden through each individual lens of it's compound eye. Imagine seeing the world from a 360 degree view. Like a mosaic- a compilation of thousands of tiny images which convalesce together representing one beautiful image.
Be a crisp amber leaf on a cold autumn morning. How do you descend? Do you float softly like a gentle cloud? Do you elegantly swirl in a pirouette to the earthy ground, or are you an adventurer tumbling and tossing in a gust of violent wind awaiting the journey the lies beneath?
The duration of the opiate is determined by you. Will you return to the mind war and endure the chaos of your own insanity? Don't give fuel to the fiery flame that will burn you out. It lies to you , it will not keep you warm. It will extinguish your creativity.
Don't let it trap you in the suffocating restrictive capsule of our own brain. Feed your thirst. You are free to co-exist in the inticing thoughts of the wonderful nature around you.
Beautiful words xx

Lovely thoughts. I feel like I'm my own leaf -- one day I may fall gracefully (probably not though) & another day I may fall with adventure in mind. :] // ▲ itsCarmen.com ▲
