Healthy Body Healthy Mind
For this coming school year I am determined to stick by the phrase "healthy body, healthy mind" so as a part of my newly established commitment I have jumped right in and researched some cute and simple dishes to keep me both revived and full.
Breakfast the most important meal of the day.. blah blah blah. We heard that all before. Mostly we all want something that's filling but light because i don't know about you but i find it hard on my stomach to eat a meal, even a little one, in the morning time. This is just a small cup of yummy. Melon, yogurt and bran flakes, getting all the nutrients you need to kick start your day without aggravating your little tummy that's still not fully awake yet.
LUNCH TIMEEEE :I am actually a big lover of salads sometimes i'd rather some juicy lettuce and peppers in a watery dressing than a thick chocolate cake.
This salad just ticks the boxes on my wishlist of salad. Its the perfect amount of crunch with a whirl and mix of flavours.
Ingredients : Quinoa, sultanas, feta cheese, coriander, parsley and pomegranate seeds.
Finally dinner has come around. To satisfy your appetite I have a splendid dish that is quick and cheap yet super delicious :)
Pasta is probably my second favorite food after my Mams chicken soup so of course I cant forget the pasta. Food isn't always just about eating but for me I think if it looks pretty it not only makes your stomach happy but it makes your mind happy too. You can choose whatever pasta shape you like but personally farfalle is the cutest pasta there is! Toast some walnuts for added protein. Slice some red, yellow and green peppers for a little crunch. Sprinkle some Parmesan and Basil, drizzle some oil and VOILA you have it! An amazingly scrumptious meal that took little to no time to prepare but looks and tastes fabulous <3
