Our First Ever Podcast!
Hey guys!
Welcome back to my blog, I apologize sincerely for my lengthy absence but here I am back with a BANG bringing you something new and exciting.
Myself and my twin sister, Amina, have forever wanted to do a podcast but as many of you know if you follow me on Instagram that my twin sister and I are like two parallel lines rarely crossing paths in the same country on our travels. With the COVID-19 pandemic upon us, our universes have aligned and we have miraculously been quarantined together with our family. A true blessing in disguise. The silver lining in this time of despair.
Given our lifestyle of constant globe trotting, we could imagine no better topic for our first ever podcast than our first experience using Couchsurfing, our preferred means of use for traveling the world!
BUT FIRST... we must include a DISCLAIMER. My sister and I are huge advocates for the use of Couchsurfing and nothing in the world has changed our experience of traveling for the better the way the use of this platform has. We have both had utterly fantastic and incredible adventures with fellow couchsurfers but this story is not one of them. This travel story is one of our few unpleasant experiences with couchsurfing and we would like to include it as our first, as a cautionary measure, before we begin recounting our wonderful and whimsical trips that followed.
Solo traveling is a truly rewarding way to explore the world and I would recommend it to everyone and anyone who has the opportunity or desire to do so but it is something you must enter into with a conscious awareness. The world is a magical place but it is not without dangers.
With that being said, I hope you enjoy our first podcast!
We had an absolute BALL recording it and if you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it, please consider sharing it with a friend and spread the word,. Lastly, I'd like to remind you to keep your eyes on this space as episode 2 will be making its way very soon.
